Pastor August Twigg
August Barry Twigg (3/12/50 Indiana County, PA). He was the tenth child of eighteen born to Donn and Norma Twigg. Pastor Augie graduated from Penns Manor High School, and then Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in English Education. He graduated from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., with a Master of Divinity degree. While in seminary, he met and married Aime Arlene Klein Wicks August 25, 1973. They have two children Andrew Jonathan and Addi Rebecca.Pastor Augie served these student pastorates: Clymer-Cookport Circuit (1972-73), the following with Aime: Still Pond Charge (on the Eastern Shore of Maryland)(1973-74), Faith Charge (Indiana District)(1974-1979), Tionesta-West Hickory (Kane District) (1979-81). He served the Addison Charge (Connellsville District) (1981-86), Polk-East Grove (1986-1995), and was appointed to Bethany in July of 1995.
Pastor Augie's favorite parts of ministry are teaching, spiritual counseling, and preaching. His hobbies include throwing pottery on the wheel, gardening, reading and cooking. He loves to spend time with his wife (they often say that, "The rocks in one's head fits with the holes in the other's." He does not like doing dishes or housework. He is definitely allergic to morning!
